Q: Do you groom ALL sizes of dogs?
A: Yes – we cater for most breeds and cross-breeds – however, please contact us to discuss if you have a ‘giant’ breed who requires grooming.
Q: How often should I have my dog groomed?
A: Each breed varies due to coat-type, length, etc. you should brush and comb your dog on a daily basis to keep their coat in good condition and you can benefit from longer intervals between grooming appointments. Broadly speaking, a Bichon Frise will be 6-8wks, a Cocker Spaniel/Lhasa Apso/Westie 8-12wks – but there are no hard and fast rules. Please feel free to ask for our advice, we are only too happy to make grooming an enjoyable experience for you and your dog!
Q: How far in advance should I make an appointment?
A: You can make your next appointment before leaving the salon, or even block book your appointments for the whole year. Advance booking is highly recommended to ensure you get your preferred day and time.
NOTE: if you need to cancel an appointment – please contact us AT LEAST 24hrs in advance – this will allow us to offer your appointment to another client, and you will avoid incurring a cancellation fee.
Q: How long will an appointment take?
A: Your dog will have our one-to-one attention throughout the groom by the same stylist. Let the dog set the pace, this all helps to create a relaxed and laid back atmosphere which in turn relaxes your dog. You will be advised of a time to return for your dog, but in general, labradors/short-haired breeds take around an hour, Westie – 1½ hrs, Cocker Spaniel/Lhasa Apso – 2hrs and long-haired German Shepard/Collie, etc – 2hrs.
